A second CD has just been released of the BBC recordings of the late Donald M MacLeod of Islay.
Donald, who lived all his life in Portnahaven, was a Mòd gold medallist and Traditional Music Hall of Fame inductee. All proceeds will go to two charities which are lifelines for Argyll and beyond – Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance and the RNLI on Islay. Donald had great admiration for both organisations.
Helen MacGregor, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) fundraising manager, said: ‘It feels a fitting tribute that money raised through the sale of Donald’s CD will help SCAA to keep on saving and improving lives across the country, particularly in remote and rural areas.
