A SHORT film focusing on crofters and island farmers is to be shown at the Aros Centre, Portree, next month.
Organisers Scotland’s Rural College (SRC) and the James Hutton Institute have invited crofters, farmers, land managers and members of the public to the free event on Friday November 11 at 7.30pm.
The college has said the film will ‘explore the best practical way to manage land with special designations, such as sites of special scientific interest, and shed light on the particular challenges of managing common grazings land, which covers approximately six per cent of Scotland’.
