LOCHABER MSP Kate Forbes has congratulated Mallaig High School for being named among the top 50 best performing state schools in Scotland.
Last week the figures, compiled and published by The Herald newspaper, showed that Mallaig High, which came in at No 38, along with Glenurquhart High School in Drumnadrochit at 29 and Fortrose Academy on the Black Isle at 37, were the only three Highland schools to make the top 50.
Ms Forbes said: ‘This result is no doubt testament to the hard work and dedication of the teachers and school management.
