People often talk about the generosity and selflessness of the people of Lochaber and that observation rings particularly true when you look through the pages of this week’s Lochaber Times.
Whether it is our youngsters organising bake sales and tuck shops, or wearing their pyjamas to school to raise cash for Children in Need, volunteers litter-picking in Glen Nevis for the benefit of all, or the many people who put in hours and hours of work into organising Lochaber Winter Festival or ensuring Fort William is as attractive and welcoming as it can be for the many visitors and residents, week in and week out people are giving up their own free time to put something positive back into their local communities. And although during our busy weeks and lives we often take our home town or village and the people we live and work with for granted, we should all stop every once in a while for a few minutes, lift our heads and see how truly fortunate we are to be here.
Thank you to everyone in our communities who do their own little bit to make Lochaber a fantastic place to live and work.
