More than 1,000 carers in Argyll and Bute receiving the Carer’s Allowance Supplement will get two further payments this year, writes Sam Ormiston.
The scheme started in 2018, withcarers receiving £221 in September and December last year.
The extra payment is part of a new Scottish Government initiative. It is given to people who also receive Carer’s Allowance from the Department for Work and Pensions.
