LOCHABER’S Denis Prikulis secured top spot in the third Fort William marathon in a time of two hours 49 minutes and 25 seconds.
Organiser Chris Millard said: ‘We had just under 400 runners this year and, apart from the weather, 2017 has been the most successful yet. We are an international event with runners from Australia, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Canada, USA, Estonia and European countries.’
The first woman home was Anne Hartmann, from Fifebased running group PH Racing Club, in 3:19:26. Chris added: ‘The runners are fantastic, such a friendly group of people, and the same goes for our volunteers.’
