FRIENDS of Loch Etive (FoLE) has welcomed a Scottish Government decision to reject an appeal for two further cages on Loch Etive, writes Louise Glen.
Fish farmer Dawnfresh had appealed against Argyll and Bute Council’s refusal to grant permission for expansion at the Etive Six fish farm site at Sailean Ruadh on the loch.
In reaching his decision on Monday, the government reporter concluded that the Dawnfresh plans ‘would have such significant adverse impact on the landscape as to warrant a refusal of planning permission’.
