Earlier this year I discovered I needed to gain an extra qualification in lifeguarding to be able to do some swim guiding this summer. Part of the assessment was to be able to swim 400m in eight minutes or less, which as a steady but slow swimmer, felt impossible! I reached out to 100% Swimming Coach Paul Fowler and as well as reviewing my swim stroke, he pulled together a training plan to take to the pool and surprisingly – I enjoyed it!
