Rainbow, the crack team of military operators, has a long and storied history defending the world from evil in Tom Clancy’s universe, but now Rainbow Six Siege is shaking things up by throwing one of their nemeses to the playable roster with the release of Operation Deadly Omen.
While not technically a member of Rainbow, Deimos is the latest playable operator added to Siege in the Year 9 Season 1 update, and for anyone who has followed Siege lore of the years he will be a familiar face. Having long been the nemesis of Rainbow, the group has finally captured Deimos and while he hasn’t been welcomed back into the team he left years ago, he is now playable operator nonetheless.
Deimos is a two-speed, two-health attack operator who can track your location with his DeathMARK Tracker gadget. When deployed his DeathMARK will reveal the location of one enemy and that enemy will also see the location of Deimos, effectively creating a one-on-one battle to the death. It’s not the first gadget to reveal enemy locations, but unlike others, it is one that can be used psychologically rather than just as an info tool.
