Performance VW  |  January 2017
With more modified VWs being built globally than ever, it’s safe to say we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to magazine content these days. Think about it, seven generations of Golf to choose from, before you even factor in the ever-increasing number of other VW models and VAG off-shoots being produced – the choice has never been greater. With that in mind, it’s safe to say that for us to feature the same car twice it has to be a pretty special transformation and to run the same car twice on the cover (see right) well… you’d better turn to page 8 to find out the full details of what that entails!
Elsewhere in the issue we’ve still got a bumper issue for you with a proper hardcore R32-powered German-built Mk3 Golf, a Honda Civic Type R-powered Berg Cup-kitted Mk1 Golf, a near-1500bhp Audi A5 drag racer from Sweden, a sleeper Mk2 Golf with a rather trick motor, a UK-built Euro-look Mk2 Polo on hydraulics and a Karmann Ghia running an MR2 turbo motor.
With show reports from Westside in the UK, Belgium’s VAG Nation and Euro Experience from across the Pond, plus the usual regulars and 2016 Car of the Year nominations, what are you waiting for? Get flicking!
