ZOOM IN A zoom telephoto lens lets you capture close-up shots of your subject from a distance without disturbing the wildlife
© Jignesh Chavda

W the sharpness of your shots, image stabilisation is of great importance. However, using this feature in the wrong scene can have the opposite effect to that which you intended. When shooting handheld, ensure that your camera’s in-body image stabilisation (IBIS) or lens IS is activated, especially when using heavy telephoto lenses. This will help to balance out any additional movements.
