Creating more or less depth of field
Using the aperture in the lens is a convenient option
I used an aperture of f/16 to ensure enough of this still life shot was rendered sharply
The lens aperture provides one of the easiest ways to control the depth of field.
Lower f-numbers, such as f/2.8 or f/4, reduce the depth of field and higher f-numbers, such as f/11 and f/16, increase it.
