EVANS CAN WAIT
TELEGRAPH
editor Chris Evans kicked off 2025 with a gloomy message for his staff.
“Last year was supposed to be the year when the Telegraph was sold,” he wrote. “We were told we would be sold by the summer, then by autumn and, at the latest, by Christmas. But the Telegraph hasn’t been sold and we don’t know when it might be sold. It might happen tomorrow, it might not happen this year. We just don’t know… Nobody involved would describe the process as satisfactory. Many of you have shared your frustrations with me.”
