In the mid-2000s Sydney proggers Super FLORENCE Jam were making headway on the scene with their Crimson-meets-Zeppelin sound, but whenever their drummer Michael Solo approached bookers for gigs, or press for coverage, he came upon a big problem. “No one in Australia cared about prog, or post- or math rock,” he tells Prog. “There were scenes for punk, metal and indie, but not prog – there was no infrastructure for it.”
