KERR’S Miniature Railway (KMR) locomotive Loch Lee, the main engine used on the railway until its closure four years ago, has been loaned to the Scottish Deer Centre & Wildlife Park near Cupar in Fife, where a 273 yard-long line has been created.
The 10.25 inch gauge KMR, which ran a distance of 350 yards at West Links Park in Arbroath, shut in October 2020 after 85 years of operation. Passenger numbers had fallen from around 60,000 per season in the 1950s to 2550 by its penultimate year of operation.
