The 13,906gt ro-pax vessel Straitsman, delivered from the Netherlands in 2005 and previously linking the North and South Islands of New Zealand, will enter service between Poole and the Channel Islands towards the end of the year after being renamed Condor Islander by Condor Ferries. Following a seven-week delivery voyage across the Pacific and through the Panama Canal, she will be modified with onboard alterations, including the creation of a Duty Free shop.
