Ann says C2C can be used for nearly any project, from homewares to bags
One of my favourite things about crochet is that new ideas, techniques and styles seem to constantly emerge, keeping us crochet lovers interested and inspiring us. I discovered corner to corner (C2C) crochet while browsing Pinterest one day, and it really captured my imagination. I love that you can make a C2C pattern as simple or as intricate as you like, and I find it’s one of the best ways to learn how to use colour in your projects. C2C crochet is most often utilised to make pictures and graphics on afghans, but there are so many other ways to use C2C! Even with the most basic skills you can create squares, oblongs or triangular motifs that can then be used to create any number of makes. And, if you use your favourite colours, your work will stand out and be truly original to you. Large projects like throws, cushions, scarves and baby blankets are all possible in C2C and, best of all, you’ll have no problem keeping your edges straight!
