Planet Unknown from Adam’s Apple Games was a total surprise. While we now have dozens of polyomino games that feature tiles of various shapes, none have been overly impressive. Barenpark, Patchwork, and Indian Summer – they’re all fine but nothing truly magical. That’s all about to change. Planet Unknown is special.
Each turn the active player turns a central platform – essentially a Lazy Susan – and locks in a limited selection of pieces for each person at the table to choose from. Each player then takes one of these terraforming polyomino shapes and places it on their personal planet board.
