UK Games Expo has been a staple in the gaming calendar for UK based board gamers for many years. Based now at the NEC in Birmingham, the event offers something for all kinds of gamers, from the board gamers to the RPG players, for those looking for accessories to those just looking for good food. After not taking place last year as a result of COVID-19 restrictions, this was the first large gaming event to take place in well over a year, and was understandably smaller than it had been in previous years. With one hall for exhibitors, and the other for open gaming, it was slightly more intimate, making it easier to speak with designers about their work and to try out some brand new games. Of course, we spoke with everyone from Coiledspring to Zatu, from Alley Cat Games to Thames and Kosmos, but here’s a few of the smaller exhibitors who were at the show.
