> Edd Cobley is a veteran of UK off-road racing, having started in trials as a young boy and progressed to competing in wild Bowler racecars like the Nemesis, Wildcat, Bulldog and EXR. He won the British Cross Country Champs in 2021 and came first in class at the Scottish Hill Rally, the equivalent says Edd, of “taking a shire horse to the Grand National”.
Edd’s racecar is affectionately known as ‘Skippy 2.0’. It’s a highly modified 2005 Td5 Land Rover Defender with a terrifyingly prepared Td5 diesel motor, Fox Racing shocks, sequential box, brakes from a Porsche GT3 (yes, really), all-aluminium Allisport cooling and super aggressive Davanti ‘Terratoura’ tyres. And it flies. Literally.
