Fender’s Acoustasonic is one of the more revolutionary guitar designs we’ve seen in recent years, and following the introduction of the Player series Acoustasonic Tele, Fender has now unveiled a cut-price Acoustasonic Player Jazzmaster, shaving over £500 off the price tag of its Americanmade equivalent. Produced in Fender’s Mexican factory, we get a mahogany body and Sitka Spruce top, combined with a Deep-C profile mahogany neck, fitted with a 22-fret, rosewood fingerboard. And while the Player Jazzmaster loses Fender’s internal body sensor, it keeps the Shawbucker magnetic pickup, which is blended with the undersaddle piezo and the whole lot is controlled by a three-way selector switch, blend control and master volume. The Player Acoustasonic Jazzmaster comes in four colour options: 2-Color Sunburst, Shell Pink, Antique Olive and Ice Blue, priced £1049.
