ZENTAI

Before I go any further, this is what you need to know in a nutshell about Zentai or Zentai Suits.

A Zentai suit is a skin-tight garment that covers the entire body. The word is a portmanteau of Zenshin Taitsu (yes; I don’t really know what that means either?) Zentai is most commonly made using nylon/ spandex blends.

Zentai is a fetish that originates from Japan, ‘and we all know what a kinky county Japan is right?’ It’s somewhere hopefully one day I might visit, as I’m sure I’ll fit right in there. It’s a pretty big kink in Japan too, and has been for a long time, and if you look online, you can find forums (I used to be a member of one for several years) and videos of Zentai lovers (often women) getting together to enjoy being fully enclosed in some amazing and often very colourful Zentai suit - and not just bodysuits. I myself have a Zentai dress and a couple of lycra Zentai bags you get inside, as well.

OK, so that’s what it is. So now I’m going to tell you my Zentai story and why I love this strange kink so much.

My story starts when I was a young kid watching the liveaction TV series of “Spiderman”. Before this, I’d seen the film “Superman”, and the other live Superhero tele show “Wonder- Woman”. So I really wanted to be a Superhero more than anything, but at this stage, I wasn’t sure I wanted to be a female Superhero. I didn’t want to be a Superhero to fight crime though. I just wanted to wear a skin-tight sexy costume. However, it was when I saw Spiderman wearing a lycra suit completely covering his body and face that I thought this was the ultimate costume, and the Superhero I wanted to be. I longed to have my own Spiderman costume. I even started buying the comics following his adventures so I could imagine it was me, all because I wanted a full enclosure suit just like his; but they weren’t available then, so sadly I never got one, no matter how much I nagged my parents. Once I grew a bit older, I decided I really wanted to be a girl, but I still wanted the costume - but a female version instead - which I’m pleased to tell you, I now have. Although wearing it, I still look like Spiderman - which I’d rather I didn’t, as I want to be Spidergirl now (yes there is a Spidergirl in the comics too)… so I don’t wear it very often… sadly. Away from Spiderman, I’ve always loved the feeling of wearing skin-tight clothes, and the first female item I bought myself, was a lycra leotard, long before I was Nina. It was so tight and felt so sexy on, but after buying a few of these, I longed for more skin-coverage again, and to be fully encased in lycra head to toe. So I searched online and found a company in America that were making full, second-skin bodysuits, and they were made to measure too. This is where I first heard the name “Zentai”. I ordered one in blue - I think it was - but it might have been black? I’m not sure now… It took a while to arrive, but when it did and I put it on, it felt amazing - just as I thought it would… Once zipped up at the back I was fully encased in lycra, and I didn’t want to take it off. I can’t explain how nice this was, even though it was hard to see anything once fully enclosed. I soon bought more suits in different colours, and they even made me an “Elastigirl” costume…

Coming Out a Chapter in my personal journey
Hello all! It has been far too long since I graced the pages of this wonderful publication! After a brief respite, I have decided to submit another piece. Most of the pieces I have written for this magazine deal with my absolute passion for historical clothing. As you can see from my photos, this has not changed. But for this piece, I thought I would express to you something a little distinctive.
Knowing Your Skin Type - Born
There aren’t many people who have naturally perfect skin. Exercise, a healthy diet and a little knowhow can help to improve the appearance of your skin. Of course, your skin condition can change from day to day and with the seasons. If you recognise your skin-type this will help in choosing the right cleansing options and moisturisers. Your makeup will apply beautifully if you keep up with your skin routine.

Following on from the success of the 2018 Christmas Ball we set about to find a venue to host a bigger and even better event.
