At 1.2 million sq km, South Africa is so vast that there’s no doubt that you will be able to find exactly what you’re looking for. Whether that’s white-sand beaches with excellent diving or a trek through a forested wolf sanctuary, this country has it all.
What’s more, it promises great value for money. The current strength of the British pound or US dollar against the South African rand makes travel economical. At the time of writing, the exchange rate was around 17 rand to the pound, but earlier this year it went as high as 23, although the impact of Brexit could affect this in the coming months and years.
