TV & Satellite Week  |  25th March 2017
IT'S BACK LINE OF DUTY
Line of duty viewers are always left with jangling nerves thanks to the twists and turns in the award-winning crime drama and that goes for the show’s
stars, Martin Compston and Vicky McClure, too. The pair reunite as anti corruption cops DS Steve Arnott and newly-promoted DS Kate Fleming for a fourth series this week, and McClure admits she enjoyed winding up her
co-star. ‘I read the script before Martin and I was dying to speak to him about it, so I started making things up,’ laughs McClure, just seen in another BBC hit, The Replacment. ‘That really panicked him because he didn’t know where his character was going.’ The new series, which has been promoted from BBC2 to BBC1, is set to grip viewers with more jaw-dropping curve balls as anti-corruption unit AC-12 faces its toughest investigation to date.
