Lucinda Williams, Kevin Morby and Adam Granduciel on getting to be Dylan for a day at the Blood On The Tracks tribute show
“T
HE whole world has Bob Dylan fever, so the timing was perfect,” says Adam Granduciel of the star-studded anniversary tribute to Blood On The Tracks at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on January 24. As well as Granduciel performing “Tangled Up In Blue”, other “bloodheads” included Lucinda Williams (“Idiot Wind”), Elvis Costello (“You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go”), Robyn Hitchcock (“Meet Me In The Morning”), Lonnie Holley (“Shelter From The Storm”) and Rufus Wainwright (“Buckets Of Rain”). The event was organised by the nearby Bob Dylan Center and featured several musicians who played on the album released 50 years ago. “It was truly an inspiring and fun event,” says Williams.
