Keeping
up with the vintage graded market can be confusing. Knowing the best deals for what you can afford, knowing what to invest in (if that’s your thing), and understanding the value differences between different grades isn’t easy to keep up with. That’s what this guide provides on the following pages.
We analyzed the PSA or BVG grades, quantities, values and total market cap for 10 key vintage football Rookie Cards. The goal is to compare grading levels to find the best values and investments for each card. We did not break out half-point grades unless a particular half-point grade held a significantly different value than the lower full grade, such as a BVG 8 vs. a BVG 8.5. The values provided reflect an average of current low- to high-end market sales for each grade. Of course, there are no guarantees with the investment picks. They simply reflect the specific grades that could be the sweet spot for long-term investors.
