“I’m definitely happy with the first half of the DKM season, I think the speed is pretty good so far and the chassis feels great. Obviously, the goal is to win the championship and bring more race victories home, but it’s still a long way until there, so the team and I will work hard to make it possible. After I drove a shifter kart for the first time this year we hoped to be competitive, however, I didn’t think to lead the championship in this strong field. My race starts already get better, yet still a lot of room to improve. This year with SRP Racing, I’m driving at the DKM, the European Championship and world Championship, some WSK and ADAC Masters races. The DKM and WSK are definitely some of my favourite events. In 2019, I was quite successful at the DKM with P3 overall in juniors then in 2020 I drove in the OK class, but we had a lot of problems and some bad luck. The main reason I participate in the DKM is due to the strong level of drivers and the championship is quite international. I think it’s a great way to become a better driver if you drive against some of the best. We don’t have that much time to go testing, but I’m pretty sure that we will try to get to both tracks to prepare for the last rounds because I’ve only been to Mülsen last year in the OK category, never in a shifter kart. I don’t really have a summer break seeing that I’m driving nearly every weekend. If I’m not driving, I’m doing sport at home to stay fit and become better. This year I will be going into Grade 11 too.”
