The Senior prefinal is dominated by British driver Ben Cooper, also 2008 Euro Challenge Senior champion - currently busy in a Masters degree in Motorsport Engineering at Oxford University – who after winning his three heats, set a blistering pace in the 16 laps and takes pole start for the final. Dutch Hannes van Asseldonk and English Chris Lock finish more than 3” behind. 18 year-old Cooper is clearly the favourite for the title, and the only doubt is on the gap he will give to his opponents. Lock, after a good start, managed to keep the pace of his compatriot for a few laps, but soon he has to surrender to Cooper, who chases the title fast as a train. Lock is left to focus on the second place, which is never threatened. Instead, the battle for third place is wide open. At the chequered flag is Irish Martin Pierce to grab the final podium spot, and thanks to his third place he also wins the Max Masters trophy. First of the Italians is De Donno, who earned a deservered fifth place behind van Asseldonk.
