“It’s hard to pin-point whether we can categorically say Britain is the best at producing drivers and teams. We have produced a lot of fantastic drivers that have won major competitions and of course I agree we are one of the best nations. The reason Britain seems unique is because we don’t host many major events thus we appear like an outlier in the international karting conversation. ‘How can a country, that the big events hardly ever go to, produce such a plethora of talent?‘ is the question that gets put forward often. PFi is the only circuit that’s hosted full FIA events in the recent past. Before that you have to go way back to 1992 at Three Sisters in Wigan. But while we don’t host many big events, we are geographically close to them, and thus can supply big competitions with plenty of drivers and teams.
