This isn’t just shampoo. In fact, it isn’t shampoo at all – it is, in the words of the product, a brand new way to wash your hair. Okay, it’s a hefty outlay, but this detergent free wash easily replaces both your shampoo and your conditioner, and also replaces additional haircare such as dry shampoo and hair masques. What’s more the claim is that as you become used to washing with it, you’ll need to wash your hair less often, so the result is in fact good value for money. In reality, the product feels like a conditioner, and you’re under strict instructions to squidge it through your hair vigorously. I’ve got fine hair that I wash every day, and found it easy to transition to, with hair looking noticeably less flyaway and more shiny within a week, however after a month I didn’t feel I was able to wash less often. As it stands, it’s impressive, and the smell from rose and ylang ylang essential oils is utterly dreamy. It’s a hard sell – £44 for a bottle of hair wash – but the results are (whisper it) worth it.
