WITH HER RUNNING SHOES - AND DISCO PANTS - PACKED, JENNY BOZON JETS OFF TO
MAGALUF TO RACE IN HER MOST UNLIKELY RUNNING DESTINATION YET
SOL MAGALUF 10K
When I first came across the Sol Magaluf 10K, I had my suspicions. When you think of Magaluf, it’s hard to think beyond a bunch of teens stumbling out of nightclubs after one-too-many fish bowls. But the more I thought about it, the more the prospect of running through the infamous Punta Ballena strip in Lycra sounded like fun, and it wasn’t long before I was on the phone to my boyfriend, Zak, to see if he fancied it.
With the race taking place on the Saturday evening, alongside its sister event, the Sol Magaluf Half-Marathon, we arrived late on the Friday evening, venturing out to grab a late-night pizza and a couple of beers to get into the spirit of things. And while “The Strip” was everything I suspected it might be, if a little less rowdy (being “out of season”), the hotel, bizarrely, was not.
