Let’s make this your best running year yet! To do this we have come up with a strength training programme that will help you build strength and explosive power to help you reach your goal – whether that’s starting a Couch to 5K or getting that personal best you’ve been dreaming of.
► Warm up
Run on the spot for a minute.
Swing each leg 10 times forward and backward.
Do 10 jumping jacks.
► Sets and reps
Perform two sets of 15 repetitions.
► Cool down
Stretch your front and back thighs and bottom. Hold each stretch for one minute to help improve your flexibility.
