Gnah! I ground to a standstill. My adductors were spasming with alarming familiarity.
My 2016 appearance for the GB trail running team was ruined by cramp in the heat of Portugal. I hadn’t been troubled with it since. But now, during the Mozart 100 (kilometres) – a key B race leading to UTMB at the end of August – it had returned to haunt me.
