Fully-funded TUI pilot programme reopens

Leisure operator TUI has begun accepting applications for its fully-funded Airline Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) Cadet Programme.

The scheme, which began in December 2022, has now run six courses and offers successful candidates the opportunity to complete flying training with no upfront cost and join TUI Airways as a cadet pilot flying the Boeing 737. The application window opened on January 6, 2025, and closes on January 31, 2025. The 19-month course – which is split into four phases – is completed entirely in the UK. Upon completion of training and joining TUI, candidates will be paid a cadet pilot salary for four years, which will include repayment of training costs to TUI. This salary is currently £37,751 (post deduction) and will increase in line with pilot pay scheduling agreements.

We present a selection of images of visiting aircraft from airports around the UK. For the most part, they’re commercial jets, but almost all of them are unusual types, wearing new or unique liveries, or first visits by an airline or airliner to a particular airport.
