A Virgin Atlantic A330 suffered a runway excursion while lining up for take-off at St Lucia. The jet, G-VLUV (c/n 1206), was operating flight VS90 on October 2, when the incident occurred. Aviation safety news website The Aviation Herald reported the aircraft left the paved area and became stuck. The airport was closed while the A330 was recovered and the flight was cancelled. The aircraft, subsequently repositioned to Gatwick as VS84P on October 5.
