There’s a great impact when you open the front door and see the pipe of the wood stove reaching up to the eaves in the main space. Homeowner Lorren Leveille covered the walls with three coats of white stain so the wood can breathe and the grain stays visible. The cane chairs with ice-blue velvet upholstery came from an antiques dealer who was going out of business, and the metal kindling carrier with an antique mirror on top is now a wonderful side table.
With a nod to the spare Scandinavian style, Lorren opted for a subtle blend of neutral tones, which became the right backdrop for her eclectic collection of vintage furniture.
