In this publication, we often take on topics of wilderness survival and disaster preparedness. Those subjects have always been of keen interest to our readers. Some out there take it to the next level as they prepare for an imminent Martian attack or zombie apocalypse. We’re not that extreme here at AOG Boundless, but self-reliance in the face of adversity is a priority for us.

Often under-emphasized when we discuss self-reliance is our day-to-day personal security. I’m not talking about financial security, although that is certainly on our minds with the prices of everything rising seemingly toward the point of our economic ruin. I don’t see it reaching the point where we have to begin trading bullets for beans to feed our families, but I am keeping a diligent eye on my budget. “Do I really need it?” is the criterion now in place before I spend much money.
