OMAR Ramsden is one of the great names when it comes to British Arts & Crafts silversmiths. Although he rarely executed a piece himself, his direction and drive were vital in his products becoming so renowned.
Items come up at auction fairly often, and a strong collecting base for his work exists.
At the Diamond Mills auction house in Felixstowe, Suffolk, this silver goblet dated 1927, raised on a lion mask and lapis lazuli cabochon stem, is estimated at £800-1200 in the March 8 sale.
