Tintin has had another good day out in Paris. In an Artcurial sale on April 8 a European collector paid €753,000 (£643,815), including premiums and taxes, for an ink drawing by Hergé for the 1937 comic book Tintin in America.
The drawing left, showing Tintin standing on the running board of a speeding taxi as he pursues criminals through the streets of Chicago, was one of the colour plates that featured in each of the early Tintin books.
