The floods which swept north-west England at the end of July involved major downpours hitting Congleton in Cheshire. This included Victoria Mill Antiques and Collectors’ Centre on the edge of town, which stayed open despite flood damage, as this Twitter picture above shows.
One of the centre’s dealers, Ken Ashford, told ATG that the worst day was on the Wednesday, July 31, when guttering collapsed at this historic building which houses 45 dealers over three floors. After the clean-up it is now business as usual for the centre.
