Lochgilphead gets behind re-vamped charity shop

THE MARY’S Meals shop in Lochgilphead has raised hundreds of pounds for the charity since re-opening after refurbishment last month.

The new-look store features new lines of books, baby items and is carrying a range of clothing for the first time since its initial opening more than two decades ago.

Shop manager Marina Campbell says the place has been ‘buzzing’ and is usually full at lunchtimes. It has been so successful that it is now looking for more volunteers to help, Marina said: ‘Everything has been brilliant since the shop reopened.
