ARROCHAR will be a major part of a development plan within Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Named LIVE Park, the plan outlines a development vision for the park.
Arrochar is identified in the local development plan as having great potential for development. In a statement, the park authority said it is ‘working with the local community to support their aspirations to improve facilities for visitors, infrastructure and housing’.
Proposed plans include the creation of a new village hub around the Three Villages Hall with a heritage centre, public space and car parking; 44 new homes across two sites in Arrochar and one in Succoth; enhancing the land at the head of Loch Long at Succoth; transforming the former torpedo range site into a tourism and visitor experience; and sites for potential new businesses.
