Brodick Golf Club

Tuesday August 9, Ladies Open. The weather was reasonably clement and the greens in excellent condition for the Brodick Ladies Open when 81 players contested the many prizes. A local score of 41 Stableford points put down a marker to beat early in the day. One visitor matched it, but Isobel MacDonald’s score held out to win the Open Trophy with a better inward half. The Hendry Trophy for the best score by a Brodick resident, was also won by Isobel. The McKechnie Trophy for the best Arran resident score, was won by Susan Butchard with 35pts.

Susan Butchard, left with the McKechnie Trophy and Isobel MacDonald with the Open and Hendry trophies won at the Brodick Ladies Open.

Thanks go to Keith, Craig, Glen and Tom for setting out the course and to Jimmy and Glen for bringing in the markers.
