Many men have a difficult relationship with their body but for gay men this can be particularly tricky. We live in a society in which masculinity is linked to physical prowess and if we’re made to feel lacking in this department, we often blame our bodies. As a skinny child and one who was often identified as effeminate, I didn’t ever view my body as something to celebrate or be proud of.
