She’s been a staunch ally of the gay community ever since her first album was released in 1990 so it’s no wonder Dannii Minogue is thrilled that her Australian homeland has finally legalised samesex marriage. But the All I Wanna Do singer was beginning to wonder if it would ever happen.
“It was such a political fight that everybody was talking about for a long, long time,” she sighs, “and the fact there was a whole community on the edge thinking ‘If this doesn’t get passed we’re not really accepted’, was pretty devastating.
