It’s been long overdue, but stepping off the plane I finally feel that rush of holiday heat welcoming me to Miami with open arms — although I am ill-prepared in my wool jacket and jeans. Naively, I hadn’t expected high temperatures in spring, but this is the first of many surprises Miami has to offer me; the second being Moxy Miami South Beach. Just a stone’s throw away from Ocean Drive, this hotel is a stylish and youthful celebration of the cosmopolitan culture Miami is so famed for. As I walk into the lobby, I’m greeted by geometric floors, glass walls and patterned ceilings — styles that are synonymous with the Art Deco and multicultural influences of the city.
