CITROEN E-C4
Redesign for electric family hatch
THE RENAULT 5 has ruined it for everyone. It’s stylish, good to drive and affordable, yet it feels expensive. How is anyone to compete with that? In the long term, makers of electric hatchbacks need to step up their game. In the short term, it’s better not to engage. Citroën is in a decent position in this respect with the ë-C4. It has done the old Skoda trick of taking the basis of a small car and building a bigger but cheaper car on top. So the ë-C4 has the same e-CMP platform as the Peugeot e-208 but is the size of the Peugeot 308.
