A 2013 C-Class for under £9k? Only if indifferent dealers don’t put you off

he wait is finally over.
Acar has been bought,
collected and is on the drive/in the garage (see right). We have moved on past those Sports Utility things to the point where we almost ended up with a five-door hatchback. Instead, we have settled on an executive saloon: a Merc C-Class with a petrol engine and automatic gearbox.
Here is the biggest takeaway from my latest tyre-kicking experience: some car dealers are just car park operators. Wander down the avenues of vehicles for sale, which might or might not have prices on them, and I guarantee the sales staff will know nothing about their stock, recently arrived from auction.
