The climate-focused Greens have made phasing out fossil fuels a key target. To that end, they will stop all new extraction projects, remove subsidies, introduce a carbon tax (expect higher fuel prices as a result) and ban all ICE vehicles from UK roads by 2035. They will also reduce traffic in residential areas, create more ULEZs, spend £2.5bn on cycle lanes and footpaths and link road tax to vehicle weight.
