An MOT-friendly Macan is best served in petrol V6 S guise for £38k
Let’s pick up where we left
off last week and dissect
some more MOT passrate data – specifically
which models sail through the test
first time. This is important stuff for
both the first and subsequent used
buyers of any model to know.
Whether you like them or not,
the sports utility vehicle remains a
favourite of the British car-buying
public, and the really posh ones
are particularly popular. Last week
we saw how the 911 is the sort of
looked-after supercar that shrugs
off the formality of an MOT, and
so does the Porsche Macan. It’s a
masterclass in making a usable
family car, and I would be inclined
to go for petrol power to extend its
useful life. So a 2017 3.0 V6 S will do,
with a reasonable 39,000 miles at £34k, although the history has bits
missing. Better to look at a 2019 S
with 70,000 miles, a few ex-owners
and a full dealer history for £37,995.
